It’s that time of year again that almost all serious players enjoy- the U.S. Open!
It is the one tournament (major or not) that allows the winner to be somewhere around even par at the end of four rounds. No 20-25 under in this event!
The president of the USGA once said “We are not trying to embarrass the best players in the world, just identify themâ€.
Some people feel that the conditions are so severe that luck plays too much a factor in who wins and who loses. But I feel just the opposite. Over the course of four rounds the player that makes the fewest mental and physical mistakes will prevail. So, sit back and enjoy the greatest test of golf presented to the greatest players in the world at one of the most beautiful places in the world (Pebble Beach).
